About Us

South Suburban Small Business Association is a resource and support network of the small business community with relevant services to grow the south suburban community at large.

We are the association of choice to support the small business community of the south suburban region.

Our History

South Suburban Small Business Association (SSSBA) is a registered Illinois non-profit regional organization dedicated to the concerns and issues affecting small and minority businesses located in our service area, which includes seventy-nine communities within an area approximately bounded by Evergreen Park to the North, Gary Indiana to the East, Peotone to the South, and Joliet to the West.

Our strength and our voice comes from our membership, the small businesses located throughout the South Suburban Region. Successful activities such as our Business Before Hours and Business After Hours, our Annual Luncheon, and our Annual Summit Awards provide essential networking opportunities and needed information and resources to address the needs of small businesses.

We are committed to continually provide our members with educational programs, such as entrepreneurship, business management, human resources, office training and marketing. We act as a regional voice regarding workforce training needs for today and the future. We strive to establish and maintain political awareness on the local, state and national levels for the issues that impact our members and communities.
