Kristi DeLaurentiis is Executive Director of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, SSMMA, an intergovernmental agency dedicated to meeting the needs of communities in the south suburban Chicago area. Since 2017, Kristi has led a team delivering technical assistance and joint services to 45 municipalities representing a population of nearly 750,000 in southern Cook and eastern Will Counties.
Ms. DeLaurentiis has an extensive track record of successfully advocating for regional equity and quality of life initiatives within the South Suburbs and beyond. She has been responsible for planning, policy and legislative advocacy in the areas of economic development, community revitalization, transportation, housing, and the environment. Throughout the pandemic, SSMMA has served as a clearinghouse for information on COVID-19 impact within the region.
