I wanted to nominate the Safer Foundation, South Holland, after talking with Tiffany & Kimberly after meeting them at a business meeting and learning of the valuable work they are doing in the southland for those who have been involved in the legal system in some way and want a “way of escape” to live a better life for them and their families. They officer a full spectrum of services-offering expanded employment opportunities to individuals with criminal justice involvement utilizing training for employment, increased income, various resources to support their wrap around services like giving gas cards for employment, obtaining identification, substance abuse & mental health services. At Safer Foundation, South Holland, they use evidence-based assessments, interest inventory & career exploration assessments. Training courses are short term, up to 16 weeks.
